Eastern Region

Eastern Uganda is a culturally diverse region primarily inhabited by Bantu, Nilotic, and Nilo-Hamitic groups, including the Basoga, Bagisu, Iteso, Sabiny, Samia, and Bagwere. 
Key communities include the agriculturalist Basoga, coffee-farming Bagisu near Mount Elgon, and the pastoralist-leaning Iteso and Karamojong.
