Babirye Sylvia Kibudde is a Ugandan dance educator and creative arts director, involved in pioneering dance education programs and active across several dance genres.
She is a master teacher at the NYU Steinhardt; a dance exchange project that has lasted for over 16 years.
She is a key figure in Ugandan dance education, actively participating in initiatives that integrate local and global dance practices, including the NYU Steinhardt Dance Education study abroad program.
She is part of the University of Kisubi Dance Education team, contributing significantly to dance education in Uganda. She is involved in the Dance Education Certificate Program, which is the first of its kind in the country, aiming to nurture a new generation of dance educators, performers, and choreographers by integrating Ugandan and global dance concepts with educational theory and practice.
